Celebrating the graphic designs created by MinaLima for the iconic shop fronts of Diagon Alley, this brand new range features lovingly detailed illustrations of the spellbinding shops from the 'Harry Potter' film series, hence the name of the postcard and print series: "Spellbinding Shops!"

Speaking about the new collection, Miraphora Mina, who founded MinaLima with her creative partner Eduardo Lima, told us about being inspired by the charming quirks of the magical shopping district.

'Diagon Alley was one of our favourite sets to design on the Harry Potter films and, within that, creating the Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes joke shop was a dream assignment,' she said.

'Our inspiration for Diagon Alley was Dickensian London: colours, textures, fonts and words all evoked a slightly-familiar yet by-gone era but this bustling street of shops was set in present day and the people we saw thronging the streets were witches and wizards – a magical world existed just out of sight of Muggles!'

Mr Ollivanders

Unlike some of the more colourful, vibrant shops scattered around Diagon Alley, Ollivander's wand shop is described as 'narrow and shabby', but steeped in important wizarding history, with a family business stemming back centuries.

Here, Minalima have brought that ancient legacy into the design. And you can even see the messy piles of wand boxes through the dimly lit windows!

Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes

Now for something a tad more colourful. The cheerful business of Fred and George Weasley is a physical embodiment of their personalities: boisterous, idiosyncratic and explosive. Literally explosive, actually, look at those fireworks!

Even the finer details are suitable mischievous. You can see the phrase "masterpieces of modern magical mayhem" across the window frames alongside a nod to the twin's famous Puking Pastilles product through the glass.

Flourish & Blotts and Florean Fortescue's ice cream parlour

In this image, we get to celebrate two of our favourite things in one fell swoop: books and ice cream.

We visit Flourish & Blotts a couple of times in the book series: the famous bookshop is where we meet Gilderoy Lockhart, Lucius Malfoy, and an extremely anxious staff member who has to stock the rather animated tome, the Monster Book of Monsters.

In this illustration, Minalima have perfectly captured the ramshackle beauty of any old bookshop.

Then there's Florean Fortescue's ice cream parlour - which Harry visits on multiple occasions during his temporary stay at Diagon Alley in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

We love some of the creative flavours on display here, from "Butterbeer and ginger" (yum) to...frog legs with peanut butter. Hmm, we'll have to think about that one.
